Strategy: Launching in New York City with the passing of the the Affordable Care Act, Oscar was a tech start-up company who’s product just happen to be insurance. Their sole mission was to make the very confusing world of health insurance simple, easy, transparent and most of all, human. Furthermore, with their customer-centric approach, Oscar completely transformed how insurance companies did their marketing. Our job was to build the brand identity, tone of voice, behavior, how it went to market, and of course, all of the marketing communications channels that went with that, including redesigning the insurance card and how it was sent to customers.
Results:
• Fastest growing NY State insurance company from launch
• 8% of total market share during the first year’s open enrollment period
• 45% awareness among its core audience during open enrollment
• Estimated company valuation is $3B and the company has filled to IPO later this year
